Games provider Gaming Realms has swelled its content offering as Tetris Slingo takes players on a trip down memory lane to the arcades.
Set to launch with affiliated operators in the latter stages of 2023, the igaming company has secured an alliance with The Tetris Company to gain the brand licensing for its latest Slingo release.
Craig Falciglia, Director of Business Development at Gaming Realms, commented: “Bringing these two popular games together is a truly exciting proposition. Tetris has enjoyed huge global appeal since it first launched in the 1980s and this collaboration will create a fantastic new Slingo format, which we will be taking to both current and new player audiences.”
As a typical Slingo release, Tetris Slingo combines the mechanics of both slot and bingo games as players aim to land as many numbers on the spinning reel that match their bingo card on a 5×5 grid.
This collaboration adds to a collection of branded Slingo games, with Slingo Deadliest Catch, Slingo Shark Week and Slingo Deal or No Deal all already available in Gaming Realms product portfolio.
Maya Rogers, President and CEO of Tetris, added: “We’re always excited to discover new and unique opportunities to share the Tetris brand with new audiences. Slingo, combined with the infamous Tetriminos and other well-known elements from the Tetris game, introduces a fresh experience to the Slingo audience and Tetris fans alike.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Gaming Realms to bring Tetris Slingo to life and can’t wait to see players’ reactions.”
In addition to branded Slingo games, the igaming developer has recently focused on extending its in-house developed Slingo offering, releasing Slingo Golden Envelope to cater to the recent Chinese New Year.
