Gaming1 has become the latest gambling company to join the Netherlands trade body Vergunde Nederlandse Online Kansspelaanbieders (VNLOK).
The Belgium operator brings its Circus and 777 brands under the VNLOK umbrella and joins its members’ drive for a safe, responsible and well-regulated Dutch iGaming market.
Gaming1 has a Kansspelautoriteit licence through Cortex Holding, formerly Betca. Beginning as a joint venture for the Circus brand, Gaming1 acquired Betca and full ownership of the brand in the Netherlands in November last year.

VNLOK has been on the front foot recently in battling against illegal operators, calling for stronger action against social media companies such as Meta, filing a complaint with the European Commission over illegal gambling advertisements appearing on its platforms.
