GAMOMAT has enhanced its Gaming for the Climate initiative by supporting the African Wildlife Foundation with donations from proprietary slot title Lava Lions

Lava Lions, a GAMOMAT release from 2021, will support the developer’s climate change combatance and further its campaign of donating a share of net revenue from selected games to conservation projects around the world.

Through the donations, GAMOMAT will provide funding for the AWF’s goal of informing and enhancing regional conservation strategies as the charity aims to engage communities in land-use planning and restoration activities, promote land conservation and maintain forest management.

Dietmar Hermjohannes, Founder of GAMOMAT, stated: “Our Gaming for the Climate initiative is continuing to have a positive impact in fighting back against the environmental decline we face today. It’s with great pride that we welcome Lava Lions into the initiative and we expect this latest addition to contribute to the cause.”

The AWF co-manages protected areas to help them achieve long-term sustainability, with specific efforts to improve landscape connectivity between Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks alongside adjacent community-based conservancies and ranches.

The charity’s projects support a habitat that spans across 42,000 square kilometres which is home to around 430 lions, encouraging the use of Lava Lions for the campaign. The slot joins Book of Oasis and Monkey Mania as the third Gaming for the Climate slot title.

While this move sees GAMOMAT increase its charitable funding, the igaming supplier recently expanded its presence in Scandinavia after confirming a Swedish supplier licence from the Spelinspektionen
