Having launched a Winter Wonderland themed sequel a year and a half after the original’s release, Golden Hero’s Halloween revamp is the latest version of the title. Set in a haunted house, players can find bats, pumpkins, cauldrons and scary eyes as well as wild mirrors and scatter eyes.
In the game, landing three or more consecutive symbols lands a win. Here, winning combinations are removed, making the remaining symbols collapse downwards allowing for new ones to drop down to fill the gaps. Moreover, the win multiplier is increased as long as symbols on the board collapse.
Meanwhile, the Cauldron can either trick the player or give another treat to fill the metre or award free spins. If there are no more winning combinations, the cauldron will explode and reveal either another gem or the scatter eye.
With every new set of icons forming a winning combination or win, the multiplier is increased. Starting at x1, it can increase to x2, x4, x6 or x8. When the new icons don’t form a winning combination, the multiplier is reset. Furthermore, the value of the win multiplier is applied to all wins when they are awarded.
Finally, landing five or more scatters anywhere on the board will trigger the free spins feature, awarding the player with anywhere between 10 and 20 free spins. The number of free spins awarded is dependent on the number of scatters on the board. Additional free spins may be awarded during this feature.
