Habanero has enhanced the visibility of its proprietary online casino games on the European stage, gaining approval from Sweden’s regulator Spelinspektionen to offer slots in the nation.

The slot developer sees Sweden’s igaming sector as an opportunity to ‘further boost its presence in Europe’, bolstering its Scandinavian footing as it can now offer titles to Sweden-facing operators.

Habanero games that can now become available to Swedish players include Hot Hot Fruit, Mystic Fortune Deluxe and Santa’s Village, in addition to recent releases such as Zeus Deluxe, Slime Party and Meow Janken

Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, commented: “Being awarded our Swedish licence is both gratifying and exciting for Habanero as we look to scale up our operations in the market and partner with leading stakeholders to bring the wonderful world of Habanero to even more players than ever before.

“This new licence is a testament to our dedication to our adaptability as well as our commitment to navigating and complying with regulatory landscapes worldwide.”

Following its Swedish approval, the move adds to Habanero’s 22 European markets in which it has formed partnerships with the likes of Entain, Sisal, Sportium and Betway.

Habanero’s Business Development Executive, Milda Mikelioniene, spoke with CasinoBeats last month about the studio’s decision to expand in Scandinavia, believing that the Swedish sector represents “a significant step”.
