UK challenger Midnite has become the latest operator to partner with G Games ahead of the launch of its battle slot experience, 99 Royale.
Described by G Games as a world-first, 99 players will go head-to-head when 99 Royale is launched on 24 September.
Chelsea Pinho, Head of Casino, Midnite: “We’re always looking for products that feel genuinely built for our players rather than retrofitted. 99 Royale is the first game that hits the mark in that way.”
A large number of operators, including Betfred and Bally’s Intralot, have also signed up to tap into the product, according to G Games.
Five years in the making
G Games said that it has taken five years to develop 99 Royale and the series of titles taps into the battle royale-style gameplay used in video games such as Fortnite.
Officially unveiled in June, G Games’ Chief Executive Officer, Paul Dolman-Darrall, described the concept as building a new category of slots.
He said on LinkedIn: “Here’s the idea: up to 99 players enter. Each has their own character, a slot with its own personality and strengths. You spin. You win/lose as normal. Your spins also generate power. You use that power to attack other players. Last ones standing win more money.
“Think battle royale meets slots. Your slot isn’t just a theme, it’s your weapon. You can fight players on other operators, other slots, gambling differing amounts, while deploying your own approach to try and win not only on the slot but in the battle.”
He also confirmed that beta testing of the concept has taken place with both Betfred and Bally’s prior to the official launch.
