Print Studios took players back to medieval France with its latest slot release, Tarasque, telling the story of a hybrid lion, tortoise, bear and snake-like creature that terrorised the reel set to claim our Slot of the Week title.
Tarasque uses an 8×8 reel board and cluster-pays of five or more identical symbols to provide wins, with players able to win up to x20,000 their chosen stake. The slot has high volatility with an RTP of 96.3 per cent.
Low value symbols come in the form of green clovers, blue snails, yellow lemons and red horseshoes. If the right number of identical symbols land in a winning cluster, these symbols can offer between x0.2 and x100 the player’s bet.
Meanwhile, blue lute players, green knights, red town cryers and Saint Martha depict the high value symbols, providing wins between x0.4 and x1,000 the chosen stake. Wild eye triangles are also available, substituting for all symbols in the game.
Winning combinations are formed when five or more identical symbols land adjacent to one another.
Cascading wins also occur, causing symbols in a winning combination to disappear after providing their payout. This makes way for new symbols to drop in and increase the win potential.
Additionally, by the top right corner of the board, a mage sits in a tower window revealing random paytable symbols on every spin.
If the mage reveals a symbol that happens to contribute to a win on the same spin, the morphing clusters feature will occur.
Rather than disappear after providing their payout, the cluster will morph into a set of new identical symbols, providing a second win in which additional symbols around the cluster may become involved.
Furthermore, random multipliers of x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20 can be applied after any winning spin via the celestial blessings feature.
Several progressive features can also be triggered when multiple wins occur on the same spin, with the Tarasque beast able to appear on the board, acting as a roaming wild.
The Tarasque will appear on the board acting as a wild symbol, moving to new positions each time it contributes to a cluster-win. The Tarasque eats all symbols involved in cluster-wins it contributed to.
Other features include random wilds placed on the grid, low value symbols removals, mage symbols being placed across the grid, or the roaming wild tarasque symbol increasing in size.
When no progressive features are left to activate as they’ve all occurred on the same spin, the Tarasque will unleash all symbols that it had previously eaten, allowing for further wins to be created.
