Push Gaming has pushed the boat out with its latest slot sequel, bringing back the razor-sharp teeth of its popular school of sharks in Razor Ways, our Slot of the Week selection.
Following up last year’s Razor Returns release, Razor Ways presents a 6×3 reel slot with 729 initial ways to win and a maximum win of x25,000 the player’s bet on offer. The underwater title uses medium-high volatility with an RTP range of 94.32-96.36 per cent.
Anastasiia Mysan, Game Producer at Push Gaming, commented: “We wanted to switch things up in this release – Razor Ways pays in ways and includes expanding reels. This also allowed us to introduce exciting new elements and spruce up the design. We’ve dived deeper into the ocean by introducing dwellers from the depths and depicting the very bottom of the underwater world.
“Each new game round presents a new opportunity to unlock a 6×6 grid with 46,656 ways to win. Razor Ways has a massive win potential with the addition of new symbols, the expanding wild and converter, along with the return of fan-favourite feature, razor reveal.”
Bonus text scatters can appear on the reels, awarding 10 free spins when three or more scatters land on the same spin.
Mystery seaweed symbols are also available, revealing identical paytable symbols across the board after dropping into play. Mystery symbols can also reveal golden sharks, which trigger the razor reveal feature.
In this razor reveal feature, each golden shark that appears can reveal instant prize symbols from x1 to x5,000 the player’s bet – which will instantly be awarded to the player.
Players could also receive multipliers of x2, x3, x5 or x10 that enhance all other instant prize symbols on the reels, collector symbols that collect all instant wins before allowing all golden sharks to spin again, or convertor symbols that choose one paytable symbol on the reels and turn them all into golden sharks – increasing the win potential further.
Additionally, golden sharks can reveal scatter symbols, but only in the base game.
While the game starts with a grid size of 6×3, three locked rows sit above the standard grid. Each time a win, or instant win, is awarded in the game, one row will be unlocked. This allows for a maximum grid size of 6×6 and a number of ways to win of 46,656.
Furthermore, each win that occurs in the base game will cause a cascading feature to occur, with the winning symbols being removed from play so that new symbols can drop in from the locked reels and from above the grid.
When triggering the free spins feature, landing three, four, five or six scatters on the reels will award 10 spins but with starting grid sizes of 6×3, 6×4, 6×5 or 6×6 and starting multipliers of x1, x3, x5 or x10, respectively.
Special glowing mystery symbols can appear in the free spins feature. While these symbols work the same as standard mystery symbols, landing five across the feature will upgrade the multiplier to the next-highest level.
Wild great white shark symbols can drop into play, substituting for all low, medium and high value symbols. Also, expanding wild octopuses can drop into play, filling entire reels with wilds when they land on the grid. Expanding wilds can also offer multipliers of x2, x3 or x5.
Furthermore, special W converter wild symbols can land on the reels, spinning to randomly select one paytable symbol that is present on the grid and transform all versions of it across the board into wild sharks.
Players can buy access to the standard free spins feature for the price of x73 their stake, the x3 multiplier free spins for x81.5, the x5 multiplier free spins for x164, the x10 multiplier free spins for x466 or to a free spins feature with a random starting multiplier for x150.
Activating the razor reveal feature in a paid-for free spins feature offers the same bonuses as the base game but with an added symbol – the row unlocker. If a golden shark reveals this symbol, one locked row above the game grid will become unlocked.
