THE SYMBOLS
Low value symbols come in the form of lighters, cameras, keys and backpacks. If the right amount of matching combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x0.2 and x0.75 the player’s bet.
Number plates, toolboxes and route 66 signs depict the medium value symbols, offering between x0.5 and x1.75 the player’s preferred bet.
Two female hitchhikers and Chainsaw Larry, a murderous antagonist, represent the high value symbols. These symbols can offer between x0.7 and x3.5, depending on the amount of winning combinations that appear in one go.
Wild W symbols can drop into reels two through five, substituting for all symbols other than the car scatter.
Gas can charged wilds are also available on these reels, revealing multipliers each time they contribute to a cascading win.
Finally, car scatters can appear on all reels. Landing three scatters in different columns on the same spin will trigger eight spins in ‘the ride’ game mode, while landing three on the same column will activate nine spins in ‘the last ride’ feature.
If only two scatters appear on the same spin, one free burnout respin will be awarded after all winnings have been paid. This respin will remove the scatters from play.
THE DETAILS
This game uses cascading wins, meaning that symbols in a winning formation will disappear after providing their payout to make way for new symbols that drop in and increase the win potential.
Throughout the base game, gas can charged wilds that contribute to a winning payline from a cascading win will enhance the payout with a x2 multiplier. This causes gas in the gas can icon to decrease.
For each cascading win with a gas can wild that occurs, its multiplier will double in value to provide larger wins. This continues until the gas can on the symbol becomes empty.
In ‘the ride’ free spins, the reel set grows to a size of 5×5 and gas can wilds can offer higher multipliers before becoming empty.
Landing two scatters in this feature will trigger an extra respin, however, if they land in the same column then a burnout respin will be awarded as well.
If players land three scatters on the same spin during ‘the ride’, they will receive an additional three spins before triggering the Chainsaw Larry spins feature.
Moreover, ‘the last ride’ game mode, triggered by landing three scatter symbols in the same reel in the base game, works the same as ‘the ride’ except it guarantees a scatter will land on the fifth reel on each spin.
In the Chainsaw Larry spins feature, an extra enhancer reel is added to the right side of the board. This reel will spin to reveal one of three symbols, including a smiley face that awards an additional spin, an xSplit symbol or a lucky feet symbol.
Throughout this game mode, Chainsaw Larry wilds can appear and hop between cells on reels two, three and four on every spin, increasing a win multiplier by one each time it jumps on a character symbol.
If the xSplit symbol appears on the extra reel, it will split all symbols between itself and the guaranteed Chainsaw Larry wild. Each character symbol that is split in the process will increase the win multiplier by a value of one.
When the lucky feet symbol drops into the extra reel, the Chainsaw Larry wild will move to another random position on reels two through four. If it lands on a charged gas can wild then it will double all gas can multipliers on the same row.
Furthermore, the Chainsaw Larry spins feature also uses an enhanced pay table with symbols that offer higher payouts than their base game alternatives.
