Play’n GO launches Troll Hunter 2
on the general market

Play’n GO has confirmed the general market release of its slot title Troll Hunter 2 after a ‘hugely successful’ exclusivity release period with Kindred Group.

Released for Kindred customers in September, the sequel of Play’n GO’s 2013 slot Troll Hunter is centred around Ylva, Borghild and Astrid protecting their village from a ‘fearsome troll threat’.

Martin Zettergren, CPO of Play’n GO, believes that creating sequels is a very delicate balance, he said: “There are many factors to consider when creating a sequel, or adding to a series of games.

“While you want to capture the familiarity of the original and keep the elements that made it successful in the first place, you can’t simply retread old ground and expect the same results.

“We’ve always maintained that we only revisit titles when we feel we can bring a new dimension to what’s gone before, and Troll Hunters 2 is a perfect example.”

In this title, each character has a bonus feature which allows players to decide which character they would prefer to play with as part of the narrative. It also includes the supplier’s Win Spin feature incorporated into its free spins, which guarantees players a win on each Win Spin.

As previously alluded to, Troll Hunter 2 was originally exclusively released with Kindred Group in September, however, following the success of the game, despite being cautious over the uniqueness of sequel slots the firm has opted to offer the slow out to other providers.
