Macau Gaming Club installs SEGA’s Vitrua Fighter video slot

The Macau Gaming Club in Hanoi, Vietnam, has announced the installment of the Sega Sammy Creation’s Virtua Fighter video slot title. 

Announced earlier this Spring, the installation marks Sega Sammy’s entrance into the Vietnamese gaming market with the Virtua Fighter theme being part of the first round of slots based on the Sega game IPs.

Speaking with G3 Newswire, director of the Asian sales division, Sega Sammy Creation, Hayato Sasaki, said: “This is only the beginning of what we hope will be a long and successful relationship with the Macau Gaming Club and the Vietnam gaming market,

Virtua Fighter contains various features which is said to cater to fans ‘old and new’ including, Akira Yuki, the main character of Virtua Fighter series, battling against familiar villains whilst using special moves as reel action animations.

In the Battle Challenge feature, the total number of specific symbols appearing on the reels determines a battle result. When players win a battle, they will be awarded bonus credit prizes.

The game was originally released in 1993 with it being lauded at the time as a game which ‘immediately changed the way that 3D graphics were used’ in video games.
