Habanero, Nolimit City, Swintt, BTG & BGaming: July SOTW

Summer kicked off with Habanero galloping its way to our first Slot of the Week award in July with Marvelous Furlongs.

Inspired by the annual equestrian calendar, the game takes players through a season’s worth of races in the lead-up to the biggest event in the racing calendar, the Marvelous Race Day.

The 5×3 highly volatile slot showcases a variety of features including wild and scatter symbols and a free game feature where players can win up to x50,000 times their bet during the big race.

Head of corporate communications at Habanero, Toni Karapetrov, commented: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our latest title Marvelous Furlongs, a season-long adventure that culminates in a final race day that is packed with big win potential.”

Up next was xWays Hoarder xSplit by Nolimit City which claimed our second SOTW putting a utopian spin on its dystopian winning title.

The game propels players into a toxic wasteland dystopia in the most recent title of the Malta-based studio’s catalogue of games.

The 5×3 highly volatile slot features 243 paylines which can increase up to 95,760. The game also includes xWays and xSplit symbols as well as bunker raid spins and a wasteland spin mode.

“A game for all you Karen’s out there. An outrageous game with a slightly lower simulated max wins that you usually see from us at Nolimit City – but also with a much more frequent max win ratio– no reason to call for the manager this time.” said Per Lindheimer, product owner at Nolimit City.

Big Time Gaming added a bit of spice claiming the third SOTW of the month’s crown with Spicy Meatballs Megaways

The “sizzling hot” new six-reel slot is the latest of BTG’s food-themed collection, launched exclusively with Unibet, with a maximum win stake of x55,210 the stake.

Located in a cooker, the game features bonus meatballs, wild meatballs and multiplier meatballs, served with a promise from its creators that “every bonus adds an extra meatball”.

Nik Robinson, CEO of Big Time Gaming, explained: “I want to thank my hardworking team for again delivering a truly awesome game in Spicy Meatballs. At BTG, we have painstakingly put together a team of the most talented people in the industry and that’s why our games portfolio is so striking.”

The fourth Slot of the Week for July saw the return of BGaming’s Elvis Frog yet this time located in Hawaii in Aloha King Elvis

A sequel to its Elvis Frog in Vegas, released in May 2022, the 5×3 reel slot includes tropical islands full of “relaxing summer vibes, melodic guitar rhythms and breathtaking views”.

The game sees Elvis Frog pack his bags and leave the bright lights of Las Vegas for the sandy beaches of Hawaii.

Yulia Aliakseyeva, game producer at BGaming, noted: “Aloha King Elvis is of the brand’s most popular title Elvis Frog in Vegas. It’s a very bright slot full of energy and excitement.

“Eccentric and funny Elvis is loved by many players worldwide – that’s why we wanted to breathe a new life into the story. We took the best of the first slot and added some new hot features to impress players.”

The final SOTW award for July went to Swintt’s Lone Rider XtraWays which took players on a ride to the Wild West.

The 6×3 reel video slot is the first title to include Swintt’s XtraWays mechanic, offering up to 262,144-ways to win as well as a free spins mode.

“We are always looking to push the boundaries and develop features and mechanics that deliver new and exciting player experiences, and with XtraWays we have certainly achieved this,” stated David Mann, chief commercial officer at Swintt.

“The anticipation really builds as players watch the XtraWays symbols land and the counter on each reel rise ahead of the next spin. And with up to 262,144 ways to win, there is plenty of big win action to be enjoyed.

“Lone Rider is a great game to debut XtraWays; it is our take on a hugely popular theme that we have been able to elevate with our innovative new mechanic. We look forward to seeing players journey to the Wild West and lasso some potentially big wins.”
