Eilers & Krejcik’s analysis into global iGaming markets has gone trans-atlantic as the researcher published its first-ever European Eilers-Fantini report.

Looking at online casino performance across January, the latest Eilers-Fantini reports included the usual US and Canada editions, while introducing the researcher’s debut report for Europe.

In the US, IGT’s Cash Eruption was finally knocked off of one of its many perches, falling to second place in the overall games chart while it was overtaken by one of the studio’s own table game titles.

This reflected a slight shift in player preference as the share of total GGR produced by table games increased across the month, climbing from 9.8% of total games played in November to 13.4%.

Interesting insights from the researcher’s debut European report included robust performances from slots produced by Wazdan, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play and Playson

US figures

Despite being knocked from its perch in the overall chart, IGT’s Cash Eruption slot remained at the top of Eilers-Fantini’s top slots by GGR charts for another month.

However the title’s portion of GGR dropped slightly, coming in at 3.39% for January (December: 3.39%).

Last month’s third-place finisher in the GGR charts, Blackjack from Aristocrat, rose to second, with its GGR share rising from 1.64% to 2.9%.

While Evolution’s Live Dealer Crazy Time and Live Dealer Lighting Roulette remained in their respective fourth and fifth places, a completely new title from Games Global, 12 Masks of Fire Drums, flew into third place with a 1.72% GGR share.AD 4nXezZOEk07YL850UE5vqrk3vIHqU45fRTPgBEAjmvM4DFfX

From the top games per GGR, 14 were slot titles, three were table games, and eight were live casino titles, with no instant win games or video poker games making the top 25 last month.

Cash Eruption couldn’t quite maintain its dominance for yet another month in the overall games charts as IGT’s Blackjack rose two places to  top spot.

Finishing below Cash Eruption was First Person Blackjack, last month’s second place finisher, while Craps from Internal shot into fourth place after finishing 14th in December.

Rounding out the top five was the new ranking that flew into the top three in the GGR charts, 12 Masks of Fire Drums. AD 4nXfLTKrJ9x7pDwksVq0gFYt jq7pUYAD f1YhyjLYe0ZbCworusjIhWq4fnj2n0dzPwb1tn6Hvj7B5kKuoy5MQ3U2wLVZQgn

Only one more new title made it into the top 10, as Games Global had a second new ranking reach the pinnacle of the overall game ranks with Cerberus Gold securing eighth.

Once again, IGT had another good month when it came to the top slots charts as Cash Eruption remained in pole position.

However, this triumph was potentially overshadowed by Games Global’s two aforementioned new rankings, with 12 Masks of Fire Drums and Cerberus Gold claiming second and third place, respectively.

White Hat Studios also had a top-performing slot across January, as its Saint Nicked 2 slot rose from 48th place in December to fourth. Capital Gains from AGS dropped from second to fifth.

For the first Eilers-Fantini report in 2025, the top slots chart was extended to include 50 games. Within the top 50, 16 suppliers were represented.

As per usual, a majority of new rankings and high-climbers made up the top new game list, with the aforementioned 12 Masks of Fire Drums and Cerberus Gold coming in first and second place, respectively.

Saint Nicked 2 climbed from 22nd place into third, while one of White Hat Studios’ other new rankings, The Goonies Megaways, came in fourth. Fire and Roses Jolly Joker, last month’s second place finisher, came in fifth.

As with every other month, each game that appeared in the top 25 new games chart was a slot title.

With IGT witnessing strong performance across many charts, it may not come as a surprise that the firm finished at the top of the US supplier charts, stopping Evolution from continuing its streak by gaining approximately 20.4% of GGR (December: 18.6%).

Evolution dropped into second place with 19% (December: 19.8%), followed by Light & Wonder which saw a GGR share decline from December’s 11.2% to 10%.

White Hat Studios leapfrogged over Games Global to take fourth place with 8.9%, an increase in GGR from last month’s 6.6%, while Games Global dropped into fifth with 8.6% (December: 8.4%).

Looking at game category GGR, table games performed particularly well compared to usual by rising from 9.8% of total games played in November to 13.4%. Slots led this category with 72.8%.

In the game tracked category, slots remained the dominant segment with a total of 91.5%, ahead of table games which stood at 3.1%.

Instant win was next with 2.4%, just ahead of live casino’s 1.3%, video poker’s 0.8%, lottery’s 0.3% and bingo/keno’s 0.3%.

Mobile recorded the highest percentage of theoretical win generated per vertical with 72%, followed by desktop at 27.2% and tablet at 0.8%.

The latest US Eilers-Fantini report examined data from Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut across 29 online casino sites and 77,095 games, representing around 65% of the US market.

Having lost its streak atop Canada’s top games by GGR charts last month, Cash Eruption retook its place at the top of the charts with 2.19% GGR share (December: 2.09%), as Triple Treasures from AGS dropped from first to third with 1.41% (December: 2.2%).

Sandwiched between those two slots was Live Dealer Roulette, a live casino title from Evolution, which gained 1.65% of GGR share.

Blackjack from IGT shot into the top 10 to achieve fourth place with 1.11% while Cleopatra from IGT rounded out the top five with 1.06% – dropping from last month’s fourth place with 0.91%.

The rest of the top five also remained the same, with Games Global placing third with 11.3% (December: 12.15%), Pragmatic Play coming in fourth with 11% (December: 10.83%) and Light & Wonder standing in fifth place with 9% (December: 10.46%).
