Blueprint Gaming kick-started March with its Rick and Morty Megaways slot title, inspired by the Emmy award winning show.
Developed in partnership with Adult Swim and Warner Bros, the title became one of Blueprint’s strongest ever first-week launches, breaking records across plays, stakes and users.
The title enjoyed the highest single day figures for players, a 37 per cent increase on the previous record which was set by The Goonies.
Along with cascade wins, the game comes with a Mystery symbol which can appear in any position. Once they land on the reel, the symbol transforms to reveal the same matching symbol to increase the player’s chance of landing a winning combination.
The game comes with four features which includes Pickle Rick Free Spins, Federation Wild Spins, Vindicator Free Spins, and Mystery Free Spins.
“Licensed slots are an important part of our games strategy and the opportunity to produce a game around the genius scientist and his inherently timid grandson was really exciting for us,” explained Jo Purvis, director of marketing at Blueprint Gaming.
“Rick and Morty is very popular right now and the show’s theme fits perfectly with our heritage of developing fun, engaging games for our loyal player base, plus fans of the Emmy-winning animated programme.”
Next up in March was Pragmatic Play’s The Wild Machine. The five-reel video slot has four different Wild machines at four points of the reels, which can randomly expand into Wilds either across or down the grid.
During the base game, random Wild spins can occur when the Doc pulls the lever. Once this happens the grid transforms with reels one, four, and seven becoming completely Wild.
Commenting on the title at launch, Melissa Summerfield, chief commercial officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “The Wild Machine is an exhilarating new addition to the Pragmatic Play portfolio.
“With its quirky theme and fun gameplay, combined with random-trigger features and a lucrative bonus round, The Wild Machine will be manufacturing fantastic Pragmatic Play slot experiences for fans worldwide.”
Pragmatic Play went on to claim back-to-back Slot of the Weeks in March with Dance Party following hot on the heels of The Wild Machine.
Draped in neon, this 5×3 slot invites players to join the disco with its neo-filled reels and immersive setting with free spin modes triggering big payouts so players can dance the night away.
“Dance Party is a high energy, fun-filled game designed to immerse players in an atmosphere packed with the bright lights and catchy tunes of a nightclub.
“Transporting players back to the glory days of disco, the highly-volatile progressive free spins mode can mean the trip to the tiles is a real success, paying out up to 36,450x a player’s stake for a night you’ll never forget.” commented Summerfield.
Completing March’s Slot of the Week round-up is True Lab’s Startup Valley which invited players to help five sea creatures attempt to impress at an investor meet-up.
The 3×5, 15 fixed payline video slot sees the oceanic characters gain experience points for specific Free Spins that release the selected characters super skill.
“With a set of cool features and its signature visuals, Startup Valley is an ultimate slot game that will fit nicely into our 2020 roadmap,” explained Vasily Polynov, chief business development officer at True Lab.
“The Buy Bonus feature makes it attractive for an even broader audience.”
