ESA Gaming has begun its maiden voyage into the South African igaming market after receiving a supplier licence for the nation’s Western Cape province.

Following approval from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, ESA Gaming will use its new Certificate of Suitability to provide a plethora of proprietary slot content to operators in the region.

The move sees the online casino supplier continue its expansion efforts across Africa, having already formed an established presence in Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, and Zambia.

Zorica Smallwood, Director at ESA Gaming, stated: “South Africa is a market with huge potential, and we’re delighted to receive our certificate of suitability to supply our games in the Western Cape.

“Our EasySwipe portfolio of content has been extremely well received in nearby territories such as Kenya and Mozambique, and we’re confident we’ll hit the ground running in South Africa as well.”

Operators in the Western Cape province will gain access to ESA’s EasySwipe portfolio that looks to provide slots that are ‘swift-loading, easy-to-access’ and ‘well suited to the local market’.

The online casino supplier’s content offering also includes mine games such as Dragon Mine, Pirate Mine and Goal Mine, as well as ‘modern takes’ on classic table games such as Roulette and BlackJack.

Ahead of SBC Summit Barcelona, Head of Game Production at ESA Gaming, Josefin Uppeke, spoke with SlotBeats about the current state of the online casino industry, stressing a need for companies to strive for unique content.
