iGamingTracker.com has delved into the top-performing slot releases in 2024, with Reel Kingdom’s Big Bass series flourishing across the year.

The Big Bass slot that finished the highest in iGamingTracker’s rankings was Vegas Double Down Deluxe, with Floats my Boat, Secrets of the Golden Lake and Xmas Xtreme all also featuring in the list. 

This emphasises that fishing mechanics continue to be fruitful for suppliers looking to engage players in the iGaming space, even as unique gamification continues to be a focus. 

To further emphasise the success of fishing games, Blueprint’s Fishing Frenzy also made an appearance on the top 20 slots list. 

Furthermore, the top 20 rankings underlined the significant influence of Pragmatic Play, with the supplier accounting for 11 of the top 20 games. Pragmatic Play owns Reel Kingdom, the producer of each Big Bass title.

Looking at iGamingTracker’s strategy for researching slot performance, the company emphasised the importance of analysing slots over a 100 day period, stating: ‘Many new slots start with exclusive operator deals, influencing their early rankings.

“By 100 days, most games have stabilised in their positions, making this timeframe a reliable measure of their long-term traction. It also ensures a consistent comparison between early- and late-year releases.”

Furthermore, the researcher detailed that October was the most landmark month for slot releases, potentially being down to the importance of tapping into spooky season with Halloween themes.

According to the report, four of the top 20 games of the year were released during the month of October, with November and May also enjoying significant engagement. 

There was also a key indictment to the evolution of gamification as ELK Studios’ Pirots 3 enjoyed major success as the second place game for 2024. 

Leading the pack however was Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush 1000, proving that enhancing established slot releases with more prolific bonus features can encourage success.

As well as this, there were major differences in trends from the US and Europe – as Light & Wonder, White Hat Gaming, Everi, DWG, IGT, achieved major success in the North American market.
