Light & Wonder link-ups with Atlantic Digital for branded slot rollout

Light & Wonder has formed an alliance with Atlantic Digital, which has obtained a number of exclusive licences to deliver a range of branded slots to the former’s OpenGaming network.

Using brand licences for classic films and television programmes, Atlantic Digital will develop these exclusive games using Light & Wonder’s Playzido RGS platform.

Although the ‘well-known’ licences are yet to be revealed, they are ‘soon-to-be announced’ with games set to be released from Spring 2023 onwards.

Sam Hobcraft, Managing Director at Atlantic Digital, explained: “The combination of Light & Wonder alongside Playzido is the perfect platform solution for Atlantic Digital to drive the distribution of our premium branded games on a global level.

“We’re able to build games quickly and efficiently via the super-professional team at Playzido, but even more importantly, we’re now able to access the biggest operators on both sides of the Atlantic. We are looking forward to an excellent relationship in the years ahead”

Upon being released, these slot titles will become available to all operators affiliated with the OpenGaming platform, which now provides over 3,500 games from a global network of Light & Wonders in-house and third-party partnered studios.

Steve Mayes, Digital Partnerships Director at Light & Wonder, added: “The team at Atlantic Digital has a proven track record in the industry and they bring with them fantastic possibilities given the wide range of brand rights that they have secured.”

“Branded game creation is undeniably difficult to perfect, but we’re already delighted to see the level of skill, effort and attention that Atlantic Digital are investing into their games.

“This is an agreement that will accelerate the growth of Atlantic Digital while providing OpenGaming partners with a stream of recognisable and high-quality content to distribute to players.”
