Thunderkick has kicked off its transatlantic expansion plans after obtaining a licence to provide its slot releases to operators in Ontario.

Through the provisional licence, Thunderkick will be able to introduce Ontarian operators and players to its portfolio of slot content for the first time, increasing the visibility of titles such as Hellapeños, Esqueleto Explosivo 2 and games from the Beat the Beast series on a global scale.

Svante Sahlström, Chief Commercial Officer at Thunderkick, commented: “Ontario is likely to be a significant strategic move for us this year, and I think we’ll also look back on it as an important marker in the company’s development in years to come.”

Thunderkick’s latest partnership extends its reach from Europe for the first time, having built an established presence in European markets such as Italy, Portugal and its home nation of Sweden.

The studio’s upcoming slot release, 12 Bolts of Thunder, will also become available to Ontarian players after it is distributed to the studio’s operator partners next week.

Sahiström added: “Thunderkick is compliance ready and we’re confident we’ll soon be able to showcase our games to lots of new Canadian players. We have a strong long-term vision for expansion as a whole and are excited to follow those in the months to come.”

In a recent deal with Skywind Group, Thunderkick targeted growth in Romania by offering to integrate slot releases into the operator group’s Luck.com and Princess Casino brands.
