Playson has enhanced its Canadian presence after obtaining an online gaming licence which will see the igaming provider offer its services to Ontario operators.
Under the terms of the licence, the company’s catalogue of slot titles become available to players within Canada’s second-largest province, which may include titles such as Buffalo Power: Hold & Win, Legend of Cleopatra Megaways and Royal Coins: Hold & Win.
“We’re thrilled to have entered the igaming market in Ontario, allowing us to meet our elevated growth plans and expand outside of Europe,” commented Tamas Kusztos, Chief Commercial Officer at Playson.
“Playson’s experience of working across a multitude of regulated markets worldwide proved pivotal in navigating our way through this lengthy application process.
“With a solid company foundation and team full of passionate individuals, we have the ability to enter newly regulated jurisdictions across the globe.”
This licence, issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commision of Ontario, will also see the company’s table and live casino titles offered to the city’s client base.
Additionally, operators will have access to Playson’s promotional offerings, including network tournaments and its Cash Blast tool, designed to ‘elevate the gaming experience’ and ‘improve customer acquisition and retention’.
Andrei Andronic, General Counsel of Playson, added: “The licence was granted after several months of persistent efforts, so it’s a great feeling to have finally obtained this milestone licence.”
“One which represents a significant step forward for the company, as Playson embarks on a new journey and enters the burgeoning North American market, we can’t wait to get started.”
The Ontario market, with a population of over 14.5 million, will add to Playson’s more than 20 regulated markets worldwide with established African, European and Latin American footholds.
