Videoslots can continue operating within Sweden’s regulated market after the operator gained a five-year renewal from the Swedish Gambling Authority

Following approval from Spelinspektionen, Videoslots’ Swedish licence is now valid until the end of 2028, signalling the maximum possible extension that the regulator can hand out to operators.

The slot-focused operator has been active in the nation since its legalisation in 2019, launching its title brand on the market’s debut.

To bolster its position in the nation, Videoslots also gained Swedish approval for its sister brand, Mr Vegas, back in 2021

The announcement came shortly after Videoslots aimed to prove its commitment to data security by gaining an ISO 27001 certification following a ‘rigorous’ assessment of its protocols.

Ulle Skottling, Deputy CEO at Videoslots, commented: “We remain strong in business and compliance, and we welcome the SGA’s recognition and ongoing confidence in our practices. The decision supports our plans for 2024.”

Videoslots will enter the new year in its strongest position yet, having recently celebrated a landmark in its operations after a RAW iGaming title became the site’s 10,000th game

Skottling recently sat down with CasinoBeats to discuss the impact of hitting this “remarkable milestone” while commenting on the rise of AI and machine learning technology in the online casino industry.
