Content provider Pragmatic Play has donated €21,000 to a project backed by The Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation, an NGO in Romania.
The donation will be used for the rehabilitation of the seventh floor of the Clinical Institute Fundeni, which is dedicated to the children’s oncology section.
Julian Jarvis, CEO of Pragmatic Play, said: “Supporting great causes is something we believe we can all do more with, and we’re very fortunate to be in a position to support those that aim to make a real difference to our wider society.
“The Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation makes a huge difference for children in need and we’re happy to assist with our donation.”
The Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation was founded in 2007 and focuses on the protection of children who have been separated from their parents and assist with their integration into society.
“As we move into 2021 and facing the global pandemic context, CSR is definitely vital for the wellbeing of our society,” Ramona Predie, head of HR at Pragmatic Play noted. “We, Pragmatic Play, felt that it was imperative to join the project at Fundeni Hospital initiated by Metropolis Foundation in order to drive change and have minimal lasting influence from this perspective.
“By way of our donation, the hospital will meet some of the critical needs they face. Pragmatic Play remains firmly committed to support these institutions that provide an indispensable service to the surrounding communities. If we join forces, we can deliver incredible and significant, long-term achievements towards our fight to help the medical system.
“We are striving to ensure basic health needs of the local Romanian community and we are grateful that we can be part of this amazing change.”
