Octoplay has secured a “significant step” in its global expansion strategy after gaining a licence for the Greek market.

The slot developer will now be able to offer its collection of proprietary games in the Mediterranean market following certification from the Hellenic Gaming Commission

As a result of the approval, Greek players will be able to spin the reels on Octoplay slots such as Wish for a Cash Star, Sugar Splash and 5 Star Coins: Hold and Win for the first time.

Carl Ejlertsson, CEO of Octoplay, commented: “Securing the Greek licence is a significant step in our growth strategy, to provide our games to operators in all regulated markets.”

The move extends Octoplay’s reach across Europe, adding Greece to previously entered territories including the UK, Ontario, Sweden and Romania.

Elsewhere on the continent, the slot provider partnered with Kindred earlier this month to reach players in the Netherlands, alongside several more European nations.

The supplier’s slot offering for the operator group includes an initial selection of 12 individual titles, with Eggsponential, Buffalo Smash and Lollicat on offer.

Octoplay praised the deal as being “crucial”, as securing expansion through tier-one operators like Kindred helps the studio to deliver “exceptional gaming content to a broader audience”.
