Playson has announced its entry into Brazil’s newly-regulated iGaming market and has secured a partnership with Light & Wonder to further bolster its position in the nation.
The Malta-based slot provider has been granted access to Brazil by its Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA), which has approved the content supplier’s roster of iGaming content, consisting of hundreds of slots.
Tamas Kusztos, Chief Commercial Officer at Playson, commented: “We are delighted to have successfully entered the Brazilian market and look forward to building on our established LatAm reputation, with players across the region resonating strongly with our dynamic offering.”
The company has also confirmed an alliance with Light & Wonder, allowing the iGaming provider to distribute Playson’s slot releases to Brazilian operators through its proprietary aggregation platform.
Light & Wonder announced last month that it would be bringing its aggregated slot content to operators in Brazil, as well as its own in-house slot content and slots from its subsidiaries such as ELK Studios.
Kusztos added: “It is credit to departments across the entire Playson team who worked tirelessly to make this entry possible. Now it is time to ensure Brazilian players have access to some of the very best iGaming content available on the market.”
Entering Brazil sees Playson follow several iGaming suppliers into the nation, with the announcement coming shortly after companies such as Amusnet, Habanero and SOFTSWISS.
We recently spoke to Bruno Geraldini, Country Manager for Brazil at Brazino777, about the dynamic of the recently-regulated Brazilian market, sharing insights into the challenges of adapting to rapidly evolving regulations.
He stated: “The rapidly evolving regulations demand swift and strategic adaptations. Many of these changes benefit both operators and players, but implementing them under tight timelines can be challenging.”
